CILIP Carnegie and Kate Greenaway Medal winners announced

The CILIP Kate Greenaway Medal and the CILIP Carnegie Medal are awarded by children’s librarians in recognition of outstanding books for children and young people.

Winner of this year’s Kate Greenaway Medal for ‘distinguished illustration in a book for children’ was FArTHER illustrated by Grahame Baker-Smith, published by Templar. The 2011 CILIP Carnegie medal went to Monsters of Men by Patrick Ness, which is the final part in the Chaos Walking trilogy.
